Silence (2016)

"Silence" is Martin Scorsese's 2016 drama about Jesuit priests facing persecution in 17th century Japan while their faith is tested at every turn. Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver both appear in scenes requiring physical deprivation for their roles, including body makeup to show weight loss and suffering under captivity. The archive holds 2 scenes from the film showing that exposure, with Garfield's extended nude scene the one most searched out by visitors. Driver's brief nude scene comes earlier in the film, before his character's arc takes a darker turn.
